Bronze Casting

Longmen - The Dragon

In 2024, the Year of the Dragon, I embarked on my first bronze casting project, inspired by the folklore of China and Japan that tells the tale of the carp leaping over the Dragon Gate. I named my sculpture "Longmen," in reference to the waterfall the carp swims over in the legend. This intricate artwork required over 100 hours of dedicated work and employed a variety of techniques, from sculpting to casting. Each step was a labor of love, as I carefully integrated traditional methods with contemporary practices to bring this mythical creature to life.
